Fortunately Daniel Mastretta serves as a perfect user case, and fits my secondary target audience. He fractured his elbow and needed to operate. Now he is mainly working on getting his range of motion back, through a set of exercises that he demonstrates below. The motivation behind choosing to design for the bicep curl is it's applicability to multiple types of exercises. Daniel demonstrated and confirmed that he is able to benefit greatly from a device that helps him track his form and timeliness. He also to my surprise almost took the words out of my mouth by stating how difficult it is to stay motivated due to the very staggering and small progress. This made me happy as it confirmed all my previous findings, and validated why I am having your progress reflected in a kinetic object.

"The toughest thing is to not be able to see your progress, as it happens in too small increments."

THE EXPERIENCE

It was definitely exciting to make something out of garbage with such a quick turnaround. The first half of the 5 hours where mainly about collecting pieces and getting them to work individually. We would have never landed with such crazy ideas without using limited resources. Creativity needs limitations sometimes.
